Information, Education and Communication (IEC) is an essential and core element of any program that is relevant to the development strategy and it’s implementation. In population with High-Risk behavior; practices that provoke mind set change and evoke an advanced application and operation that is wholly matching the actions of developed countries in pursuit of their goals. IEC nevertheless time consuming exercise and challenging for the staff to execute and negotiate change has become urgent need for the developing states to undertake without any delay especially in the fields of health and sanitation. Right from the information dissemination through proper and favorable mediums and via appropriate channels of communication to the education of society through determined, qualified and proficient methods of imparting knowledge and instructions and persuasive and cogent counseling supplemented by winning and plausible negotiation is our core idea of IEC.
IEC is not just broadcasting station that casts messages, but rather a
multi-strategic and participatory approach in the development plan and
rather core element in the process of development communication to
ensure message for the change of mindset properly reaches and is
understood by the audience with the expected level of understanding.
